Guappo Hair Design, founded in 1996 by Philip Unsworth in the North East, has now relocated to Kirkby Stephen. For over 25 years, Guappo Hair Design has been synonymous with exceptional hairdressing, earning prestigious awards such as Northeast Salon of the Year at the English Hair and Beauty Awards in both 2014 and 2015.

Phil’s career began in Manchester at the renowned Afflecks Palace, a creative hub during the iconic ‘MADchester’ era of the 1990s. This unique experience shaped his innovative approach to men’s hair design, which has earned him national recognition.

In 2017, Phil was named Men’s Stylist of the Year at the English Hair and Beauty Awards, solidifying his reputation for cutting-edge men’s styling. By 2018, Guappo Hair Design had further cemented its position as a leading salon, winning 5 Star Salon of the Year County Durham and Stylist of the Year for Phil.

Now based in Kirkby Stephen, Phil and Faye have recreated Guappo Hair Design. bringing its award-winning expertise to a new location. Specialising in men’s haircuts and styles, the salon continues its tradition of quality and creativity, offering a fresh perspective on hairdressing and salon design to a new community.
